Paul Scholes was a midfielder of Manchester United. He was born on 16 November 1974 in Salford, England.
Paul began his career in the Manchester United youth academy where he was one of the best trainees. Scholes played for the youth team of the club and took part in different championships with it. During several years Paul continued his successful training and performance.
In 1993 the professional career succeeded Paul’s preparation when he was offered to sign his first contract. In the summer of 1993 Scholes signed for his native club Manchester United. He is a one-club man playing his entire with Manchester United. Scholes is a mancunian playing legend alongside Ryan Giggs. From 1993 till 2011 Paul Scholes made 466 appearances and scored 102 goals for his club.
At the end of 2011 the player decided to retire, but his absence in Manchester United and professional football did not last long. At the beginning of 2012 Alex Ferguson brought the veteran back to the club assuring him he was still fit for performing for the club. Paul Scholes met the expectations and added confidence to the United performance in the second half of 2011/2012 season and kept playing in the 2012/2013 season.
In May 2013 Paul Scholes finished his glorious career with Manchester United alongside Sir Alex Ferguson, remaining a true legend for all football supporters.
In 1993 Scholes was capped three times for the England national U-18 team. From 1997 till 2004 he took part in 66 matches of the Three Lions, netting 14 goals.
