Pável Pardo is a Mexican footballer who currently plays as a defensive midfielder for Chicago Fire in American MLS. He was born on 26 July 1976 in the Mexican city of Guadalajara.
Pável began his professional career at a hometown club Atlas de Guadalajara where he played for five years since 1993, overall amassing 156 matches. In the 1998/99 season, he played for Tecos UAG. However, he enjoyed a tremendous increase of popularity at Club América winning the Mexican top league in 2002 and 2005, and the CONCACAF Champions Cup in 2006. All in all, Pardo made a total of 244 league appearances for a seven-year stint at the club in between 1999 and 2006.
In 2006, Pardo joined the German side Stuttgart. He shortly established himself as the pillar of the team, and pulled off the 2006/07 season making 33 starts and winning the Bundesliga trophy. In 2009, he returned to Club América for two seasons and in the summer 2011 signed for the American club Chicago Fire.
Pável Pardo was a regular Mexican international in between 1996 and 2009. For a 13-year international career, he earned 148 caps to the Mexico national team.
