A Portuguese footballer Pedro Miguel Silva Rocha, aka Pedrinho, is a right defender of Lorient in France. He was born on 6 March 1985 in Póvoa de Varzim.
Football club Varzim became an initial point in Pedrinho’s youth career. He was an alumnus of the football academy who stepped up the game and played for the youth team. In 2004 Pedro received the offer for future cooperation with the club.
Varzim promoted the player to the senior team. The subscription of a three-year contract indicated the beginning of Pedro’s professional career. He was a bit-part player, but starting from 2005/2006 season, he was given more opportunities to feature in the starting lineup. Within the time stipulated in the contract, Pedrinho made 72 appearances and scored 9 goals.
Académica was destined to become the next club for the Portuguese footballer to play for. A long-term contract with the defender was signed in 2007. But during this year Pedro was decided to serve loans at his previous club (Varzim). After returning to Académica he almost managed to turn into a first starter. He made 85 appearances and amassed 1 goal during his spell with the club.
In 2011, Pedro was scouted by The French club Lorient. After all the formalities were complied with, Pedro Miguel Silva Rocha was officially named in the Lorient squad.
