Pedro López Muñoz is a Spanish footballer who plays on the right flank of defence for Levante UD.
He started to play professionally at Valencia where he was a part of the youth team at the beginning. Then in 2002 he was promoted to the Valencia B squad having signed a two-year contract. However the player was willing to improve and get more playing time for the main squad so he was sent on loan to Racing Santander for the season 2004/05.
In 2005 López was transferred to Valladolid. There he spent 36 games with a status of a main squad player in his very first season for the new club. Before Pedro’s move the team never reached high positions but by the end of the campaign 2006/07 things changed drastically. Real Valladolid took the first place in the Segunda thus winning their top flight promotion. In that same season he scored his first goal. It was a marvellous shot from distance in a 1-1 home draw against Real Madrid on September 23, 2007.
On December 14, 2008 Pedro, a first-choice right defender by that time, scored a fantastic goal from his half adding to a 3-0 win over Deportivo La Coruña. The player continued to appear regularly for his club during the whole next season though the side got relegated. For the whole time in Valladolid from 2005 to 2011 he made 168 appearances with 3 goals.
Having spent one season in the Segunda Pedro decided to leave, being transferred to the top-flight Levante in July 2011 by signing a 1-year contract. Pedro made 21 appearances for the Valencians during the season, after that the contract was prolonged for 3 more years.
