A Portuguese footballer Pedro Manuel Silva Moreira plays as a midfielder for Porto. He was born on 15 March 1989 in Lousada.
His junior career started in his native town at the academy of Lousada. In 2005, Pedro caught an eye of Boavista, where he spent the last years of his youth career.
In January 2008, the midfielder signed his first pro contract with Boavista. But he didn’t stay for long with the club, as he was scouted by Porto. But after the contract had been penned, the footballer stayed at Boavista to serve loan. The 2008/2009 season turned to be very fortunate for the young player as he clinched the first eleven and made starts in almost all the club’s fixtures. He appeared 28 times and scored 2 goals during a year. In the summer 2009, the footballer served loan at Gil Vicente, where he spent the 2009/2010 season. Pedro made more than 20 appearances for the Portuguese club.
In2010, Silva was sent on loan to Portimonense, where he was groomed during a season. He scored 2 goals in 20 matches for the temporary squad. In the summer 2011, he was again loaned out by Gil Vicente. When the spell with the temporary club came to an end, Pedro signed for Porto. He continues to perform for the main team.
In 2009, Silva earned his first cap for the Portugal U-21 team. Over the course of the 2009/2010 season, the midfielder made 10 appearances for the national squad.
