Petar Zanev is a left back for Volyn Lutsk. He was born on 18 October, 1985 in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria.
Zanev played football since he entered the football school of Metodi Kalmbov. His first coach was Peter Tsvetkov, who used the methods of preparation used by the leading Dutch football academies. As a result, Zanev became part of a talented generation of players, many of whom successfully perform for the top clubs of Bulgaria and Europe.
In 2004 the young defender signed his first professional contract with Pirin Blagoevgrad. In 2005 Petar moved to Litex Lovech, which owned the rights to him for 7 years. In the 2007/08 season Zanev was loaned to Celta and then Racing Ferrol. In the summer of 2012 the Bulgarian moved to Ukrainian Volyn Lutsk.
Since 2006 Petar Zanev represents the national team of Bulgaria.
