Peter Utaka is a striker, born on 12 February 1984 in Enugu, Nigeria.
In 1997 Utaka entered the UNTH Nigeria football academy. In 1999 he moved to the Croatian academy of Dinamo Zagreb where he managed to develop his football skills greatly. In 2000 Peter returned to his parent academy and spent three more years there.
In 2003 Utaka started his professional career by signing a contract with Belgian Maasmechelen. His debut season was really marvelous as he managed to bang in 17 goals in 35 fixtures for the club. In 2004 he joined Westerlo from Belgian Pro League and played for three seasons there. His stats during these seasons were the following: 73 appearances and 12 goals.
In 2007 the striker joined another Belgian club – Royal Antwerp – and played an outstanding 2007/2008 there as he was able to fire in 26 goals in 46 fixtures. In 2008 Peter Utaka moved to Denmark by signing a contract with Odense Boldklub. From the very first match Utaka demonstrated his brilliant striker flair and immediately became the anchor player of the club. The Nigerian managed to amass 52 goals in 108 matches during three and a half seasons in Denmark. In 2012 Dalian Aerbin made a generous offer for the striker and Peter joined this Chinese club.
At the beginning of 2014 Utaka switched for Beijing Guoan. Later on he had a loan spell with Shanghai Shenxin.
