Philippe Coutinho Correia is an attacking midfielder of Brazilian origin playing for Liverpool.
The first club of the footballer was Vasco da Gama in the youth team of which he was most frequently employed on a position of a playmaker. Aged 16 in 2008 he was purchased by Inter Milan for an undisclosed amount. However the FIFA laws forbid such transfers for players under 18. Thus Coutinho had to stay in his native club on loan. Three days after coming of age the footballer joined Inter and four days later he was officially presented as the team’s player. On May 8, 2011 he scored his first goal for the side hitting the back of the net against Fiorentina with a gorgeous set piece shot.
The second half of the season 2011/12 Coutinho spent playing for Espanyol and in the summer of 2012 he returned to Inter having made 16 appearances with 5 goals scored. During the 2013 winter transfer window his services were secured by Liverpool.
In the spring of 2009 he was capped by the national team of Brazil to participate in the U-17 South America championship where he played 5 games having scored thrice. The coach of the Brazilian squad Ney Franco called up Philippe to participate in the U-20 World Cup in 2011 in Columbia. In his second game of the tournament Coutinho scored a penalty to Austria and in the following game repeated the action against Panama.
