Plamen Iliev is a Bulgarian goalkeeper born on 30 November 1991. He took up playing football at the hometown football club Balkan.
In 2006 Iliev signed for Vidima-Rakovski. The young keeper performed for the youth squad of the new team till he was offered to sign a professional deal in 2009. In 2010 the club won B PFG and the following season Plamen debuted in the Bulgarian top division. After 11 appearances for the team, Iliev drew the attention of Levski Sofia’s managers. In December 2010, he transferred to the new club.
Iliev debuted on 6 March 2011 in a game versus Lokomotiv Sofia. The next season Plamen made 29 outings helping his team finish 3rd in the championship. In September 2012, the goalkeeper penned a new deal with Levski Sofia until 2016.
In 2010 Plamen Iliev received the first call-up from the Bulgaria U-21 side. His 1st senior cap came on 29 May 2012 in a friendly encounter with Turkey.
