Prince Hlela is a South African defender currently playing for the Premier Soccer League side Polokwane City. He was born on 28 May 1984 in Heidelberg, South Africa.
Prince began his professional career at Free State Stars in 2007. Lacking professional experience, he was not given much playing time and eventually was sent on loan to the lower-division side Carara Kicks for the 2008/09 season. In 2010, Hlela moved to Bloemfontein Celtic where he made 34 appearances during a two-year stint. In the summer 2012, he signed for AmaZulu. After a loan spell with SuperSport United Hlela joined Polokwane City on permanent basis.
Since 2011, Prince Hlela is capped to the South Africa national team. He got a first taste of international action in a friendly match against Tanzania.
