Quan Lei is a Chinese midfielder who wears the jerseys of Qingdao Jonoon. He was born on January 13, 1985 in Dalian, China.
In 2001 Quan had a trial at Dalian Shide and impressed enough to earn a place in the club’s youth academy. In the 2004 season he progressed to the senior team and debuted in the match against Shanghai Shenhua on November 11, 2004. After the appointment of Vladimir Petrović as a new head coach, Quan Lei became a constant performer for Dalian Shide. In 2005 the team surged to a spectacular double, wining the league and the FA Cup.
On October 5, 2006 Quan Lei was assaulted. As a result of that attack, he got multiple stab wounds and was sidelined for years. He returned to training only in 2008. On May 3, the club’s fans saw him in action for the first time after that horrendous incident.
In 2013 he moved to Qingdao Jonoon.
