Radoslav Zabavník was born on 16 September 1980 in Košice, Czechoslovakia. He is a universal defender capable of playing at both wings.
Zabavník started his youth career performing for MFK Košice. In 1998 he began his professional career. During four years Radoslav appeared in 68 matches and netted nine goals. In 2002 the player moved to MŠK Žilina, where he played on the same level, scoring five goals. In the 2004/2005 Zabavník performed in Bulgaria for PFCCSKA Sofia. There he netted seven goals in 41 matches. The season in PFCCSKA was the last successful one. Later, Radoslav didn’t score more than one goal a season. In 2005, the footballer moved to Sparta Prague, and in February 2008, Sparta Prague sold Zabavník to Terek Grozny. In both clubs he was a player of the first team. In 2010 the footballer was in the FC Nuremberg training camp, however, Radoslav didn’t make an impression on the head board. That is why in December 2009, he left the club and penned a contract with FSV Mainz 05 on 1 February 2010. In the 2010/2011 Zabavník took the fifth place with his team in the Championship. He appeared in 62 matches during three years.
In the summer 2013 Radoslav moved to SV Sandhausen.
Radoslav Zabavník performs for the Slovakia national team. At the moment he has played for it 57 games, scoring 1 goal since 2003. He cemented his place in the starting eleven.
