A Brazilian footballer Rafael Cabral Barbosa acts as a goalkeeper for Santos. Rafael was born on 20 May 1990 in Sorocaba.
Rafael had the ball at his feet since childhood, but his playing career wouldn’t start until 2003, when he entered the academy of Santos. After progressing on the club’s youth categories, Barbosa made his senior debut in 2009. The footballer appeared for the first time in a match against Cruzeiro. Rafael also featured in a game with New York Red Bulls. He managed a fabulous performance helping the squad to win the title at the 2010 São Paulo State League.
He continued to make successful appearances for the main team adding a further two leagues to his honors. In 2011, Cabral became the champion of the Copa Libertadores under the flag of Santos. In 2012, his club was crowned the champion of the Recopa Sudamericana.
In 2011, the goalkeeper was capped for the Brazil national team. His international debut took place in May 2012 in a match against the U.S.A.
