A Brazilian footballer Rafael Cruz plays as a right back for Atlético Goianiense. He was born on 18 January 1985.
In 2004, Santo André offered Rafael a pro contract, which he took and his professional career started off. His debut season was lined with the title of the winner of the Campeão da Copa do Brasil. Nevertheless, the next year would find Cruz performing for Democrata. He immediately established himself in the starting squad and turned into the team’s anchor player. Despite the long time spent with the club Rafael didn’t get a lot of awards. In 2007, he became the champion of the Campeão Brasileiro da Série C.
In 2008, the footballer was hired by the Brazilian Atlético Goianiense. In 2010, a deal with Atlético Mineiro was finalized. Cruz had made 16 appearances for the main team before he was loaned by the former club Atlético Goianiense.
Rafael also was the champion of the 2003 Campeão da Copa São Paulo de Juniores.
