Ralf Fährmann is a goalkeeper of Schalke 04 who played for the Germany national U-19, U-20 and U-21 teams. He was born in 1988 in Karl-Marx-Stadt (Chemnitz at present), East Germany.
Fährmann’s début for Schalke 04 came on 13 September 2008 in the match against Borussia Dortmund, where he made two saves in the aftermatch series of penalties and was chosen the player of the game. On 16 September 2008, the young keeper made his first appearance in Euro Cups by taking part in the UEFA Cup match against Cyprus side APOELF.C.
After 2008/2009 Ralf ended his Schalke spell with Eintracht move, signing for the club on a free transfer. However, Fährmann returned to Gelsenkirchen on a four-year deal during the summer 2011 transfer window.
