Ramon Zomer is a back of Heerenveen. He was born on 13 April 1983 in Almelo, Netherlands.
Ramon’s youth career took off in local Daarlerveen, from where he moved to the academy of Twente.
In 2002 Zomer was given an opportunity to join the main team of the club, because his diligence and achievements were finally noticed. The management of Twente penned a contract with the player the same year and saw him make nine goals in 122 matches during six seasons.
In 2008 Ramon sealed a deal with Eredivisie side NEC. From 2008 till 2011, the back featured in 92 games and netted nine goals for the club.
In August 2011, Heerenveen decided to secure Ramon’s services on a three-year contract. The footballer took part in 27 matches and went on to net two times for the new team as of October 2012.
From 2005 till 2007, Zomer was capped 14 times for the Netherlands national U-21 squad.
