A Palestinian footballer Ramzi Saleh plays for Smouha Sporting Club as a goalkeeper. Ramzi was born on 8 August 1980 in Cairo.
Saleh started his professional career at Shabab Jablia in 1999. His debut was very impressive and the next year he was named for the Palestine national squad. The goalkeeper managed to become the team’s first player very quickly and later on he would captain the squad. His performance attracted the attention of Sheffield United in 2005, but the contract wasn’t penned, as Ramzi failed to get a UK work permit. Saleh’s one of the most called Palestinian internationals. He’s already made more than 70 appearances for the national side.
In 2008, Saleh joined Al-Ahly. He debuted for the new squad in a match with Ismaily. Despite his good ball posession, Ramzi failed to become the club’s regular. He made only 15 appearances during the spell.
In 2010, the keeper had a brief spell at Al-Merreikh and moved to Smouha. A 3-year agreement was signed for a fee of 2 million Egyptian Pounds.
