Rangelo Janga is a winger of Excelsior. He was born on 16 April 1992 in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
At the beginning of his career, Rangelo gained experience in several local academies, including youth systems of Feyenoord and Excelsior. In the 2008/2009 season, the footballer amassed 14 goals at junior level, which drew the attention of top-flight AZ and English side Arsenal.
However, Janga penned a contract with Willem II and moved to Tilburg. The winger’s senior début came on 26 September 2009 in the away 2-1 loss to NAC Breda. Several months later, Rangelo netted his first goal, which turned out to be the winner in the 1-0 victory over Vitesse. The footballer made 25 appearances and fired three goals for Willem II during his spell.
On 23 December 2011, Janga was sent on loan to Excelsior. The winger’s first test in the new team was a home match against NAC Breda, and Rangelo successfully passed it by contributing to a 3-0 victory over the rivals. The footballer took part in 16 fixtures and found the net two times for the temporary squad during his short spell. After the winger’s loan contract expired, the management of Excelsior decided to secure his services on permanent basis.
In 2011, Rangelo was called up to the Netherlands national U-19 team and made his international début on 29 March the same year in the 3-0 victory over England.
