Raphael Wolf was born on 6 June 1988 in Munich, Germany.
Raphaelspent his youth playing career in such clubs as FSV Pfaffenhofen, MTV Pfaffenhofen, FC Tegernbach and SpVgg Unterhaching. In 2004 Wolf was scouted by the managers of Hamburger SV. Having played at the youth team for three years, he was promoted to the senior level in 2007.
The footballer didn’t make a single appearance for the main squad, but managed to take part in 25 matches for the reserve team. At the start of June 2009 Hamburger SV announced about Wolf’s transfer to SV Kapfenberg, where Raphael had no difficulties in becoming a regular and made more than 100 appearances during three seasons. He debuted on 18 July 2009 in the first round of the championship against SV Ried. The match ended in a 0-1 defeat.
Raphael showed good results and the management of Kapfenberg was quite satisfied with his performance, but soon they gave in under the pressure of a lucrative offer of Werder Bremen. On 22 May 2012 the goalkeeper moved to the Green-Whites, signing a three-year contract until 30 June 2015.
The footballer hasn’t been capped at international level yet.
