Renat Yanbaev is a back, who plays for Lokomotiv Moscow. He was born on 7 April 1984 in Krasnodar, Russia. The footballer has Tatar origin.
Renat’s youth career took off in the academy of CSKA Moscow. The footballer performed for Russian Premier League clubs Anzhi, Khimki and Kuban Krasnodar. In 2007 Yanbaev sealed a deal with Lokomotiv Moscow. The back’s début came in the match against CSKA. Soon Renat clinched a place in the starting line-up and was invited to the Russia national team.
The footballer took part in every match of the Russian Premier League during two seasons. At the end of the 2010 season, Yanbaev was offered a move to Zenit and Rubin, but Lokomotiv refused to sell the valuable player.
However, on 6 September 2012, the back was loaned out to Zenit St. Petersburg.
Renat is the 2008 UEFA European Football Championship (Russian Federation) bronze medalist and the silver medalist of the 2006 RPL.
