A Brazilian footballer Réver Humberto Alves Araújo plays for Atlético Mineiro. Humberto was born on 4 January 1985.
Réver started his career with playing for the youth squad of Paulista. In 2004, he entered the club’s senior side. The footballer became the team’s anchor player winning the 2005 Brazilian Cup. His performance was soon noticed by various clubs. In 2007, the footballer was loaned to Al-Wahda from Abu Dhabi. Humberto didn’t stay with the club for long, being loaned out by Grêmio the same year. He established himself in the starting squad almost at once and became its vice-captain. In 2009, the footballer became the official club’s member, but he had to spend almost the entire season in the sidelines, nursing a serious injury.
In 2010, Humberto had a brief spell with Wolfsburg. The same year he joined Atlético Mineiro. Very soon he became the pivot player, being the member of the squad that won the 2012 Campeonato Mineiro.
In 2010, Réver earned his first call for the Brazil national squad. His international career is lined with two awards. He was twice the champion of the Superclásico de las Américas (in 2011 and 2012).
