Ricardo Dias is a midfielder of Beira-Mar. He was born on 25 February 1991 on Aveiro, Portugal.
In 2002, he started his youth career in Beira-Mar, where he spent five years, making a successful start which promoted his further development. In 2006, Dias was sent on loan to Padroense which plays in one of the lowest divisions in Portugal. There the footballer could upgrade his skills. In the summer 2007, when Ricardo returned from loan, the managers of Porto did their best to make Dias join the academy of their club.
In 2010, the midfielder finished his football formation and signed a professional contract with Porto. The footballer was immediately loaned to Tourizense. During half a season Dias took part in 16 matches scoring 1 goal. In January 2011 he continued his career in Santa Clara where he played on loan. During the rest of the 2010/2011 season Ricardo netted once in 11 games.
In the summer 2011 the Portuguese side Beira-Mar entered into the final stage of negotiations for Ricardo’s transfer from Porto. In July 2011 the clubs reached an agreement and the midfielder penned the second contract in his career with Beira-Mar. During the 2011/2012 season the head coach sometimes included Dias in the starting XI so that the footballer could feel positive about his moving to Porto. For a season the midfielder made more than 5 appearances. Nowadays he is constantly improving his skills.
From 2007 to 2012 Ricardo Dias scored 3 goals in 40 matches for the Portugal U-17, U-18, U-19 and U-20 national teams.
