Ricardo Esteves is a Portuguese football. He can operate either in midfield or at right-back.
Ricardo began his career with Oriental in 1997. But he spent just one season there before moving to Alverca the following year. The utility man took the next step in his prolific career with a move to Benfica B. Half a year later Esteves embarked on a loan spell at Vitória Setúbal. After his loan stint drew to a close, he headed back to Alverca and then to Benfica.
In 2002 Braga confirmed the signing of the footballer on a long-term deal. But with opportunities for first-team football limited at Estádio Municipal de Braga, Ricardo joined Nacional. That move proved to be a success as the midfielder made 24 appearances for the club. During the 2004 to 2009 he wore the jerseys of Paços Ferreira, Reggina, Vicenza, Marítimo and Asteras Tripoli. In 2010 Esteves was transferred to South Korean outfit FC Seoul. During his stay in Asia, the nomadic midfielder bagged 4 goals in 11 league outings. From 2010 to 2012 he again defended the colours of Marítimo. In 2012 Dalian Shide secured the capture of Ricardo Esteves.
After the club was dissolved the player did not manage to find a new club and became a free agent.
