Ricardo Oliveira is a Brazilian forward currently playing for the United Arab Emirates side Al Jazira. He was born on 6 May 1980 in São Paulo.
Ricardo joined Brazilian side Portuguesa de Desportos in 2000 where he made an impressive start of his senior career scoring 23 goals in 46 matches for a two-year stint. After s short spell at Santos in 2003, Oliveira left for Spain where he signed for a prominent La Liga side Valencia. He had a successful 2003/04 season helping the club to win La Liga and the UEFA Cup. In the next campaign Oliveira claimed the Spanish Cup together with Real Betis. He was an instrumental figure for the new team with his 26 goals in 46 matches during a two-year spell.
Since 2006 till 2008, the Brazilian played for Italian giants Milan aiding to their UEFA Champions League win in the 2006/07 season. The next two campaigns were spent at the Spanish club Real Zaragoza where he became a key striker together with Diego Milito.
In the summer 2009, Oliveira moved to the UAE side Al Jazira where plays till the date. He claimed the Etisalat Cup already in his debut season with the club. The Brazilian striker cut a brilliant figure in the 2010/11 campaign as he scored 10 goals in 11 league matches, 4 goals in 4 cup games and a goal in 3 appearances during the AFC Champions League leading Al Jazira to the UAE Pro-League title and the President's Cup that season.
