A Portuguese footballer Ricardo Jorge Rodrigues Pessoa plays as a right defender for Moreirense. Pessoa was born on 5 February 1982 in Vedas Novas.
In 1993, Ricardo entered the academy of Vitória Setúbal, where he started his formation. During nine years of his junior career, Jorge Rodrigues went through all the youth ranks of the club’s system. Finally, in 2001, the defender got his chance on the senior team of Vitória. He remained at the club until 2005, scoring one goal in 30 matches.
In 2005, Ricardo joined Portimonense from the Portuguese second division. The footballer got his place among the members of the first eleven at once and very soon captained the squad. The 2009/2010 season turned to be the most fortunate for the footballer, as he showed the solid performance with 6 goals racked up in 30 games. In total, Rodrigues made 206 appearances and amassed 16 balls for Portimonense.
In the summer 2012, the defender moved to Moreirense.
On international level, Ricardo made one appearance for the Portugal U-21 squad in 2003.
