A Brazilian footballer Richarlyson Barbosa Felisbino acts as a midfielder for Clube Atlético Mineiro. Richarlyson was born on 27 December 1982 in Natal.
Richarlyson’s junior career started in 1998, when he entered the academy of Ituano. He spent 4 years playing for the Brazilian youth team.
In 2002, the midfielder grabbed the pro contract with Santo André. The following year he had a brief temporary spell at Fortaleza and then moved on a two-year long loan to Salzburg. In 2005, a new contract was penned with São Paulo. Whilst playing for the team, Barbosa became the champion of the Brazilian League three times in a row (in 2006, 2007 and 2008). The footballer also won the 2005 FIFA Club World Cup under the club’s flag. Richarlyson was an essential player for the squad making 147 appearances during the spell. As a reward for his great form in 2007, he was honored with the Silver Ball and the title of the Série A Team of the Year.
In 2011, Richarlyson opted to join Atlético Mineiro. When the contract was signed, the footballer started a new fortunate stage of his career with the club crowned the champion of the 2012 Campeonato Mineiro. The footballer has already featured in more than 30 matches for the squad.
In 2008, Felisbino was twice called up for the Brazil national team.
