Rick ten Voorde is a Dutch striker was born on 20 June 1991 in Emmen, Netherlands.
Rick’s youth career took off in DZOH, from where the footballer moved to the academy of FC Emmen. Ten Voorde’s diligence and dedication earned him an opportunity to pen his first professional contract with the club in 2008.
The striker made encouraging display during his first season, as he netted nine goals in 18 fixtures. Rick’s stellar performance drew the attention of NEC, which secured the player’s services despite the competition from English side Newcastle United and Dutch side AZ.
Ten Voorde fired his first goal for the new club in the friendly against FC Emmen, but his official Eredivisie début came on 21 November 2009 in the match against NAC Breda. The striker’s first Eredivisie goal came in the 3-2 victory over ADO Den Haag.
In 2011, despite Rick’s positive display, the management of NEC decided to send the footballer on loan to RKC Waalwijk. That decision could probably be entailed by the Dutchman’s two goals in the previous season, because the player at his position had to score more goals. In 2013 the player was loaned out to NAC Breda and later on completed a permanent move to a German side Paderborn 07.
