Róbert Jež is a Slovak professional footballer currently playing as a midfielder for the Polish Ekstaklasa side Zagłębie Lubin. He was born on 10 July 1981 in Nitra, Slovakia.
Róbert started out his professional career with his hometown side FC Nitra in 1999. In between 2000 and 2005, he played for Viktoria Plzeň in the Czech Gambrinus liga amassing 9 goals in 84 league matches for the club. In 2005, Jež signed for a Slovak top-flight club Žilina and played there until 2010. He collected two Corgoň Liga titles and two Slovak Super Cups during a five-year stint at the club. For that period Jež scored 35 goals in 172 appearances for the team. In 2011, the Slovak midfielder left for Poland where he initially played for Górnik Zabrze and Polonia Warsaw and then joined Zagłębie Lubin in 2012.
Since 2007, Róbert Jež is capped to the Slovakia national team. He scored his debut international goal in a friendly match against Liechtenstein in November 2008.
