Roberto Colombo is a goalkeeper for S.S.C. Napoli. He was born on 24 August 1975 in Monza, Italy.
Roberto’s professional career started in 1994 after he had signed for A.C. Milan. At the time the young goalkeeper hoped to secure for himself a permanent spot in the starting eleven but due to high competition within the club it turned out to be impossible. In 1995 Milan loaned Roberto to Valdagno where the goalkeeper appeared in 19 matches during the 1995/96 season.
In 1996 Roberto continued his loan career at Fiorenzuola. During one season at the new club Roberto made mere 3 appearances though.
In 1997 A.C. Milan sent Colombo on another loan to Solbiatese. During the 1997/98 season at Solbia Roberto realized his full potential and started practically every match of the club totaling 27 appearances. In 1998 Milan once again loaned Colombo to Monza for a season.
In 2000 Roberto was offered to join Serie B Calcio Padova on a permanent basis. Colombo signed for the club and played as first-choice goalkeeper for 5 years totaling 126 appearances.
From 2005 to 2006 Roberto was the first goalkeeper for San Marino. During the 2005/06 season the experienced goalkeeper defended the Titans’ goal in 35 matches.
In 2006 Roberto made another transferred this time to Serie A Bologna. For 4 years at the club Colombo made mere 8 appearances being only a substitute goalkeeper.
In 2010 Colombo moved to Triestina and played every match of the club during the season.
In 2011 Roberto Colombo made the last transfer in his professional career to date and signed for Napoli. At present he is a second goalie for the Azzurri.
From 1993 to 1994 Roberto Colombo earned 5 caps playing for Italy U-18.
