Roberto Guana is a midfielder for Chievo. He was born on 21 January 1981 in Brescia, Italy.
Guana’s career started in 1999 when the young footballer was promoted to the first squad of his alma mater Brescia. During the first 4 seasons at Brescia Roberto periodically appeared in the starting lineup, but it wasn’t enough to become a regular. In 2003 the midfielder was loaned to Cagliari, where he spent the 2003/04 season making only 6 appearances. After returning to his home club Brescia, Guana continued to play for the club until signing for Ascoli in the summer of 2005. In the 2005/06 season at the new club Roberto made 33 appearances and netted 1 goal.
In 2006 Guana signed a contract with Palermo and played for the club as a regular for the next 3 years, making a total of 83 appearances. In 2009 Palermo decided to send the midfielder on loan to Bologna for the 2009/10 season. Roberto spent there a full season totaling 34 games and 1 goal. In 2010 Guana was loaned to Chievo for the 2010/11 season, where he played 19 matches.
In 2011 Roberto was signed by Cesena on a permanent basis. After the pre-season training with the first team the head coach gave green light to Guana to perform for the club in the 2011/12 season. Recently though Roberto was purchased by Chievo and awaits an opportunity to show his best and become a regular in the next season.
In 2002 Roberto Guana was capped for Italy U-21 team.
