Rodrigo Braña was born in 1979 in Berazategui, Argentina.
Braña began his senior playing career at Quilmes in 1997 where he played until 2004 with the intervals for two short loan spells at Mallorca B team and Unión de Santa Fe.
In 2005 the footballer switched to Estudiantes de La Plata and in 2006 and 2010 helped the team to win Argentine Primera División, Apertura. In 2008 the squad t finished as runners-up in Copa Sudamericana. In 2009 they won the Copa Libertadores and after that he was offered a move to Mexico, where he could join Monterrey. Nevertheless he refused and stayed with Estudiantes. In the summer 2013 Braña completed a move to Quilmes.
Braña is a part of the Argentine national team since September 2009 whenhe earned his first cap.
