A Brazilian footballer Rodrigo Corrêa Dantas plays as an attacking midfielder for Botafogo. He was born on 20 October 1989 in Rio de Janeiro.
Rodrigo’s junior career passed at the academy of Botafogo, where he turned into a full-grown midfielder.
In 2008, the club’s management promoted Dantas to the main squad, but he was immediately loaned by Portuguesa-RJ, where he spent a year. After he had returned to his parent club, Rodrigo got few opportunities to perform for the first eleven, but the head coach still considered him to be an inexperienced player.
The footballer was sent on loan to América-RN in 2010 in order to get more playing practice. Rodrigo spent half a year with the team, before he was loaned by Duque Caxias. He didn’t settle in the team and moved to Västerås SK. The 2011/2012 season Rodrigo spent performing for the Portuguese club – Estoril. When the spell with the temporary squad came to an end, Dantas returned to Botafogo, where he continues to appear sporadically.
