Roger Carvalho is a defender of Sao Paulo. He was born on 10 December 1986 in Arapongas, Brazil.
Roger started his professional career in 2007 when he signed his first contract with Iraty in the academy of which he had been groomed before. That very year he was loaned to Rio Branco but didn’t to play a single fixture there. In 2008 the Brazilian signed a contract with Tombense but it was a waste of time as again he was unable to play at least one match for his new club.
In the summer 2008 Roger was loaned to Olivais e Moscavide and managed to take part in six fixtures during half a season. In January 2009 he joined Guarani but had to cope with the role of bench player up to the summer 2009.
In the summer 2009 Roger Carvalho moved to Figueirense where he finally received a chance to demonstrate his skills as the head coach was in the great need of the centre back and he decided to try Roger on this position. Carvalho didn’t fall short of expectations and performed as a centre back up to 2011. In January 2012 Roger was loaned with an option to buy to Genoa. Later in 2012 he arrived on a loan to Bologna.
In 2013 Roger completed a move to Tombense and later on switched for Sao Paulo.
