A Brazilian footballer Rogério Mücke Ceni acts as a goalkeeper for São Paulo FC. He was born on 22 January 1973 in Pato Branco.
Ceni started out with the youth team of Sinop. He didn’t stay with the squad for long, as his good performance was soon noticed by bigger club São Paulo. Rogério wrote his name into São Paulo history officially appearing more than 480 times as the squad’s regular. On 27 March 2010, the player netted his 100th unofficial goal for the club.
He won three São Paulo state titles and three Brazilian League titles, along with a pair of awards for gaining a victory at the Copa Libertadores and Recopa Sudamericana. The goalkeeper was also honored with six Silver Ball awards as the Best keeper in Série A. Among his individual honors are the titles in the FIFA Club World Cup. He was twice voted the Brazilian Footballer of the Year.
Ceni represented the Brazil national team during nine years (from 1997 to 2006). He earned 17 calls, being a part of the squad that won the 1997 Confederations Cup and the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
