Roland Alberg is a Dutch midfielder born on 6 August 1990 in Hoorn, Netherlands.
Roland’s career took off in AZ, where the footballer trained in the academy and participated in several junior competitions. However, Alberg failed to clinch a place in the main team of the club.
At the beginning of 2011, the player sealed a two-and-a-half-year deal with Rotterdam side Excelsior, where he continues to perform at the position of an attacking midfielder up till now. Roland’s professional début came on 5 August 2011 in the home 0-2 loss to Feyenoord, where the footballer came on as a substitute. Half a year later, on 21 January 2012, Alberg netted his first goal and propelled his team to a 3-0 victory over NAC Breda. The midfielder took part in 43 fixtures and fired seven goals for Excelsior before moving to Elazigspor in January 2013. In the season 2013/2014 Alberg played for ADO Den Haag.
Roland’s maiden international appearance came on 29 February 2012, when the Netherlands national U-20 squad ran out victorious after scoring three goals against Denmark.
