Romain Alessandrini is a French midfielder, born on 3 April 1989 in Marseille, France.
Romain was groomed in the youth system of his hometown Olympique de Marseille. He signed his first professional contract with FC Gueugnon from the Championnat National in 2009. Alessandrini showed a prominent game as he scored 3 goals in 27 matches during his debut season. In the next campaign, the midfielder picked up an injury while scoring and had to miss much of the season. In 2010, he moved to Clermont Foot and impressed scoring a goal in his debut game for the club. Overall, Alessandrini netted 22 goals in 68 appearances during a two-year spell. In 2012, he signed for the top-flight side Rennes. Two years later Alessandrini switched for Marseille.
