Ronald Alejandro Vargas Aranguren is a midfielder, born on 2 December 1986 in Guatire, Miranda state, Venezuela.
In 2002 Ronald got to the academy of Caracas FC and was groomed there for four years. His senior debut came on 14 March 2006 in the Copa Libertadores. The footballer netted his first professional goal in the final of the 2006/07 Primera División in a 1-0 victory over Unión Atlético Maracaibo. Two years later Vargas became a transfer target for three Belgian clubs – Club Brugge, Gent and Anderlecht. On 14 May 2008, he penned a 4-year contract with Club Brugge.
In the 2010/11 season Ronald delivered 15 goals for the club becoming the 5th best top scorer. In June 2011 the Venezuelan footballer transferred to R.S.C. Anderlecht signing a 3-year deal with them.
In the summer 2014 the player moved to a Turkish side Balikesirspor.
Ronald Vargas competes for Venezuela. His first senior cap came on 3 February 2008 in the match versus Haití. The footballer opened his account with the national squad on 6 June of the same year in the historic win over Brazil.
