Ronald Zubar is a defender of Ajaccio. He was born on 20 September 1985 in Les Abymes, Guadeloupe, France.
Ronald started his professional performance in French side Caen, where the footballer made his competitive début in 2003. In the 2003/2004 season, the head coach let Zubar on the pitch 25 times, which helped the defender to reveal his best qualities and to clinch a regular place for the following year.
The 2005/2006 season became the last year at Stade Michel d’Ornano for Ronald, because he completed a move to Marseille after making 96 appearances and kicking two goals for Caen during his entire spell. The footballer was inspired by an opportunity to play for one of the best French clubs, which saw him score three goals in 98 fixtures during three years.
In 2009, English side Wolverhampton Wanderers took an interest in Zubar and lodged a tempting bid for him. In July the same year, the defender sealed a deal with the new team and found the net three times in 58 matches for ‘The Wolves’ as of December 2012. In 2013 Zubar returned to France and joined struggling Ligue 1 side Ajaccio.
In 2003, Ronald was called up to the Guadeloupe national squad. From 2004 till 2007, the footballer was capped 15 times and contributed two goals for the France national U-21 team.
