Ronan Murray is a striker of Notts County. He was born on 12 September 1991 in Mayo, Ireland.
In 2003, Ronan came on a trial to the academy of Erris United and impressed the coaching staff, which helped him to get a place in the junior squad of the club. The footballer spent five years in the youth system and managed to develop his skills to a decent level, which could not be left unnoticed by several English teams. In 2008, Murray moved to the academy of Ipswich Town and began to get ready for a professional start.
In 2009, the striker penned his first professional contract with ‘The Tractor Boys’ and officially became a part of the club, where he spent one year and a half before sealing a temporary deal with Torquay United. Ronan fired one goal in seven fixtures during half a year and went on a six-month loan to Swindon Town. After the end of the footballer’s spell, the management of the team decided to extend his contract for another half a year, and Murray took his tally to 20 matches and three goals. After a short spell with Plymouth Argyle Murray joined Notts County on permanent basis in 2013.
The striker performed for the Republic of Ireland at various junior levels. From 2009, he has been capped 13 times and contributed two goals for the national U-19 squad. From 2011, Ronan has taken part in one match for the Republic of Ireland national U-21 team.
