Ronny Philp was born on 28 January 1989 in Romania in the city of Sibiu.
A year after Ronny’s birth his parents emigrated from Romania to Germany, exactly to Fürth. At first he began training in TSV Burgfarrnbach. Four years later, Ronny moved to SpVgg Greuther Fürth, which was considered to be the main club of the city. In 2008, he got into the senior football club and started playing for the reserves. In total, he appeared in 72 matches for the team and put it in the back of the net two times. He didn’t succeed in getting into the first team, and three years later, in 2011, he joined SSV Jahn Regensburg together with his teammate Jim Patrick Muller. There he became a key player, but at the end of the season sustained a knee injury and had to sit out for some time.
Soon Ronny joined FC Augsburg, where he signed a contract until 2015.
As of September 2012, Ronny Philp has not been called up to the Romanian national team, because of the player’s young age.
