Ross McCormack is a striker, born on 18 August 1986 in Glasgow, Scotland.
Ross’s career took off in Scottish side Rangers in 2003, when the footballer penned his first professional contract. He made his début for the club at the age of 17 and netted his first goal in the 2005/2006 season. McCormack made 11 appearances and fired two goals for the team before being sent on loan to English side Doncaster Rovers, where he found the net five times in 19 matches.
In July 2006, the striker sealed a two-year deal with Motherwell, but the 2006/2007 season was not very fruitful for him, because Ross almost did not come on the pitch due to injuries and chipped in only two goals in 12 games. However, the following year, the footballer managed to make a full recovery and helped his club to take third place in the league by scoring eight goals in 36 fixtures.
In 2008, McCormack transferred to Welsh side Cardiff City and amassed 21 goals during the 2008/2009 season, taking second place on the list of the Championship top goalscorers. The striker featured in 74 matches and went on to net 25 times during two years.
In August 2010, Ross put pen to paper of a contract with Leeds United and fired 58 goals in 154 matches for The Peacocks during four seasons. In the summer 2014 McCormack moved to Fulham.
The footballer made ten appearances and netted three goals for the Scotland national U-21 squad from 2006 till 2008. From 2008, McCormack has been capped eight times and contributed two goals for the full national team.
