Ross Wallace is a winger of Burnley. He was born on 23 May 1985 in Dundee, Scotland.
Ross’s professional career took off in Scottish side Celtic in 2002. The footballer made 37 appearances and netted one goal for the club during four years, because the head coach often let more experienced players on the pitch.
In 2006, Wallace’s performance drew the attention of English side Sunderland. Despite the lack of playing practice, the winger sealed a deal with the new team and fired eight goals in 53 fixtures by 2008, when he was sent on loan to Preston North End. Ross featured in 23 matches and found the net three times for the club during six months, which earned him the right to put pen to paper of a permanent contract.
The footballer became one of the pivots of the main squad and chipped in nine goals in 57 games for Preston during one season and a half. In the summer 2010, Burnley secured Wallace’s services and saw him score ten goals in 108 fixtures as of January 2013.
From 2003 till 2007, the winger was capped 11 times and contributed three goals for the Scotland national U-18, U-19 and U-21 teams. In 2009, Ross took part in one match for the full national squad.
