Rúben Micael Freitas da Ressureição plays as a midfielder for the Portuguese football club Braga.
Micael went in for football at a local club in Madeira and continued his football formation in the Portuguese club União da Madeira which played virtually in the lowest division. After securing a place in the main team he featured in 94 games for four years. Micael made his top division debut in 2008 when he joined Nacional. During the 2008/2009 season he earned a place in the first team kicking 6 goals in 42 matches. In this season his club finished fourth which gave it the right to play in the UEFA Europa League.
In the midwinter 2010 Micael moved to Porto signing a four-year deal. In the summer 2011 the football player joined Atlético Madrid but soon he was loaned to Real Zaragoza. In the summer 2012 he changed the club moving to Braga.
Rúben Micael featured in one game for the Portugal U-20 national football team and made one appearance for the Portugal B national football team. Since 2011 he has scored 2 goals in more than 10 matches for the senior side.
