Sacha Kljestan is a midfielder for the Belgian football club Anderlecht and the US national soccer team. He was born on 9 September 1985 in Huntington Beach, California.
Sacha started out his career at the University of Seton Hall Pirates where he played for Seton Hall Pirates taking part in various tournaments. In 2005 Kljestan was invited to his first professional club Orange County Blue Star. The footballer delivered 1 goal in 2 appearances for the team.
The following year, Sacha was chosen the 5th in the MLS Super Drafts by CD Chivas USA, where he amassed 15 goals in 114 matches. In June 2010, Kljestan penned a 4-year contract with Anderlecht.
In 2005 the American footballer represented the United States U-20 team. His 1st senior cap came on 2 June 2007.
The midfielder’s first serious tournament was the 2007 Copa America. During the 2008 Summer Olympic Games, Sacha Kljestan started three games firing 2 goals. Moreover, he finished runner-up in the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup and the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
