Salif Sané is a French defender of Senegalese descent who represents Hannover 96. He was born on 25 August 1990 in Lormont, France. Salif is nominally a defender, but he can also play in the midfield.
In 2010 Sané began his professional career with the French side Bordeaux. During his 2010–2011 stay at the club Sané made 4 appearances, before joining AS Nancy on loan in 2011. During the 2011/12 season at Nancy Salif featured in 32 matches and scored twice.
Thanks to Sané’s impressive display, his move to Nancy was made permanent in 2012.
One year later the player switched from relegated French club to German Hannover 96.
