José Salomón Rondón Giménez is a Venezuelan forward playing for Zenit St.Petersburg.
Salomon started his career at Aragua in Venezuela in 2005. Having spent 3 seasons on a professional level there he joined Las Palmas in Spain’s second division. The first appearance that he earned was in a game against Alavés in October of 2008.
In September of 2009 Rondón opened the score in a home game of the Copa del Rey eventually finding the back of the net twice in that game. However his first goal in the Segunda came only in the 22nd tour. Then in winter of 2010 he scored twice to Elche. Salomón managed to score 8 times more until the end of the season.
In the summer of 2010 Salomón joined Málaga. His first match in the Primera was held in August against Valencia and the first goal for the Andalusians came in a game against Sevilla. All in all he made remarkable 67 appearances for Málaga and 25 times hit the back of the net of his rivals.
On August 4, 2012 Rubin Kazan announced the signing of José Salomón Rondón Giménez for a transfer fee of €13 million.
At the beginning of 2014 The Venezuelan moved to another Russian club, Zenit St. Petersburg.
Rondon has been capped for his national team since 2008.
