Samir Fazli is a striker of Heerenveen. He was born on 22 April 1991 in Skopje, Macedonia.
Samir lived in Canada for some time, but returned to his native country, where his football career took off. Fazli is a very talented player, which can be proven by the fact he made his professional début at the age of 16 in FK Makedonija Gjorče Petrov. Besides, the footballer trained with Italian side Sampdoria.
In 2009 Dutch side Heerenveen took an interest in the striker due to his pace and skills. However, the signing failed because of age limits. After coming of age, Samir penned a contract with the club, where he performs at the position of a striker and wears number 39 shirt. On 25 October 2009, Fazli made his first appearance for the team in the away 4-1 loss to Willem II. Five months later, on 19 March 2010, the player netted his first goal in the 4-1 victory over NEC. Samir featured in 16 matches and found the net one time for the Dutch club as of October 2012.
Fazli’s international début came with a call-up to the Macedonia national U-17 squad for several friendlies. Soon after, the footballer was invited to take part in the European U-21 Championship. He made his first appearance for the U-21 team on 11 February 2009 in the match against Croatia.
