Samuel Armenteros is a striker of Anderlecht. He was born on 27 May 1990 in Masthugget, Sweden.
At the age of 16, Samuel and his family moved to the Netherlands, where the future footballer joined the academy of Heerenveen. Armenteros performed for various youth squads of the club and took part in different junior competitions.
The striker’s encouraging display helped him to pen his first professional contract with Heerenveen in the summer 2008. However, Samuel had to watch the games of his team from the substitutes’ bench during the whole season.
The footballer wanted a change and decided to seal a deal with Eredivisie side Heracles Almelo in the summer 2009. Armenteros became a regular of the new club almost at once and netted 21 goals in 91 appearances for Heracles as of November 2012. In 2013 Samuel moved to Belgian powerhouse Anderlecht but was soon loaned to Feyenoord.
In 2005, the striker was called up to the Sweden national U-17 team. Samuel contributed two goals in three games for the squad and progressed to the U-19 team, where he took part in five fixtures. From 2011 till 2012, Armenteros was capped nine times and found the net one time for the Sweden national U-21 squad.
