Samuel Inkoom is a Ghanaian defender currently starring for Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk FC and his national football team (called Black Stars). The athlete was born on the 1st of June 1989 in Sekondi-Takoradi, Ghana.
Samuel Inkoom’s football career started at Sekondi Hasaacas FC in 2006. In early January 2008 the player was transferred to Asante Kotoko FC.
On April 29, 2009 Samuel Inkoom signed a contract for three years with Basel FC (Switzerland) for $700,000. The footballer’s first match for the side was played on the 12th of July 2009 against St. Gallen FC, in the 2009/2010 Swiss Super League (Raiffeisen Super League).
At the end of January 2011 Samuel Inkoom joined Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk FC, having signed a contract for four years. The defender made his debut in the Premier League of the Ukraine on March 6, 2011. In 2013 Samuel was loaned out to Bastia.
Samuel Inkoom is the winner of the 2009 FIFA U20 World Cup, the finalist of the Africa Cup of Nations (in 2010), quarter finalist of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, as well as the winner of the Swiss Super League (Raiffeisen Super League) (in 2010) and the holder of the Swiss Cup (Schweizer Cup) (in 2010).
