Sandro Wieser was born on 3 February 1993 in Vaduz, Liechtenstein. Wieser started his early career playing for FC Triesen, and transferred to FC Vaduz in 2003.
In 2006 Wieser carried on his career performing for FC Basel in the U-16, U-18 and U-21 teams. In 2008/2009 the player became a Swiss Champion. On 3 February 2011, Wieser joined the senior team of FC Basel side, performing in the first division. On 20 March 2011, his debut eventually took place in the 2-1 victory against Grasshopper Club Zürich. In 2011 Sandro became the Swiss Super League Champion, which was his second title in his career. On 27 December 2011, Basel confirmed that in January 2012 Sandro would transfer to German side TSG 1899 Hoffenheim transfer window. The contract was signed until 2016. It is remarkable to note, that Sandro is the first Liechtenstein player in the League.
In the season 2013/2014 Wieser played on loan at SV Ried.
Wieser began playing in the national squad in the U-17 team. There he appeared in eight matches scoring two goals. Thereafter he missed few rounds and shortly after in 2009 made his professional debut in the U-21 team. The footballer is a member of the Liechtenstein national U-21 football team. Wieser received his first call-up to the senior team in 2009, in which he played against Iceland on 11 August 2010. On the whole, Wieser had 9 appearances, however, not putting it in the back of the net. Nor did he manage it in the U-21, where the player is still contracted. So far Wieser has performed in five matches for the U-21 international team.
